I was told about Libertine (in Winsley St. just off Oxford St.) a while ago as it’s one of London’s ‘Hot’ clubs plus it’s accessible with a disabled toilet – unique for a London nightclub. Access is via a lift to all areas of which there are 4:
The ‘speakeasy’ style cocktail bar – Reason & Mankind – which “employs the latest in molecular mixology techniques to serve up a range of delicious surprises”. This includes whiskey infused candyfloss.
Roxx which is a ‘pop up’ club at ground floor level
A VIP area – too exclusive for me to know about!
And Libertine the club.
All stay open until 3 a.m. and it’s in the newly trendy area of London known as Fitzrovia (it’s trendy because Banksy posted some art here).
It’s the area that borders Oxford Street, Euston Road, Portland Place and Tottenham Court Road. We’ve previously reviewed a few places in Fitzrovia, including – Bubbledogs (reviewed last Saturday on the BBC Food & Drink program, once again we’re ahead of the game!!), Charlotte St Hotel, Crazy Bear, Lima, Dabbous, Edition Hotel, Riding house Cafe..….. So we’ve got the ‘Less able Guide’ to Fitzrovia sorted.

Unfortunately Libertine is under re-furbishment until the end of January so we can’t verify it’s accessibility/facilities & style until then. Be assured we’ll be there to review when it reopens as it seems too good to be true! They get a provisional 2.5 BBS Ticks.
