I’ve been going here for many years and the Fifth Floor restaurant never disappoints. Sometimes the bar does but thats usually down to the far too flash/ bling clientele. The food in both is excellent . Access is via a lift from the ground floor and there is a disabled toilet just off the bar.…
Embassy Mayfair hasn’t been audited and won’t be as they have no disabled toilet because it’s a ‘managed building’!! Why is that an excuse? It’s on a ground floor so partially accessible as it’s on 2 levels. Looks good though, it’s a bar and brasserie and there’s also a nightclub called the Salon . It serves modern Mediterranean cuisine all…
Olivia Jarvis our new recruit, a concert violinist, will be adding valuable music and style reviews. See her new post on Amsterdam.
Dabbous is the latest ‘hot’ venue in town so it’s difficult to get a reservation for lunch or dinner, Jay Rayner said “It’s worth a look. And that, friends, is what we call an outrageous understatement.” I tried but they’re fully booked to 2013, so no audit until then!!?? Ollie Dabbous trained with Raymond Blanc at Le…
Amsterdam; city of style, great people and freedom… shame about the disabled access! All the streets in the main city area are cobbled and the road system of cars/buses/trams/motorbikes/scooters/bikes is bewildering. They come at you from all directions! It doesn’t help that when you decide to place yourself in a restaurant away from the chaos…
Gaucho is a steak restaurant which according to View London “serves up prime Argentinean beef in a funky, romantic surrounding” Relax and enjoy ‘al fresco’ dining by the Thames in Richmond with views of Richmond Bridge and the river. There’s excellent access to the restaurant, with a big disabled toilet and the food was great…
Update Dec 2012: Went to The Delaunay had a great time – there is no step in, it’s a smooth ramp and the doorman will also help. Very friendly and welcoming, lots of people, it’s in the middle of ‘theatreland’ on the corner of Drury Lane & Aldwych, and can be noisy but it adds…
I’m a long time visitor of Coq D’Argent and it’s totally accessible! There’s a lift up to the rooftop restaurant, it’s all on one level and there’s space to move around although it can be cramped at times. There’s also a fully accessible disabled toilet. The roof terrace is beautiful and many lunch-times/afternoons have been spent…
We have audited The Commander and as well as doing good seafood the restaurant is all on one level apart from a tiny ‘lip’ to get in, one step to the back garden and flat access to courtyard on the side. There’s a disabled loo, even if it is used as a storage room between uses. We have…
