Update Dec 2012:

Went to The Delaunay had a great time – there is no step in, it’s a smooth ramp and the doorman will also help. Very friendly and welcoming, lots of people, it’s in the middle of ‘theatreland’ on the corner of Drury Lane & Aldwych, and can be noisy but it adds to the European Cafe style of the restaurant. Not too expensive and can recommend the desserts – they’re in the ‘Grand Viennese’ style i.e. lots of cream and chocolate. Not too expensive either you can get a snack at £4.75, Entrees are around £14-£20. The Gruner Veitliner wine was also very good. You can even get a glass at £9.25. Wine starts at £5.75 a glass, £12.75 a carafe or £19 a bottle. Great idea to sell by the carafe as a glass often isn’t enough but a bottle can be too much!? It’s good to find such a brilliant venue for pre or post theatre food.

I’m upgrading them to 3 BBS Ticks!!

The Delaunay is part of Rex Restaurants who also own The Wolsley, this is another very popular and stylish restaurant for this group. They serve an all day a la carte menu and also do a ‘take out’ from the Counter.

Not audited yet but they tell us the restaurant has a very small 2 inch step from the street and the majority of tables are accessible. The Maitre d’ will accommodate wheel chair users and there is also fully accessible disabled toilet.

The Delaunay gets 2.5 provisional BBS Ticks
