197 Chiswick Fire Station is the sister to No.1 Duke Street winner of the BBS Best Budget Bar 2016, so we expected it to be good. We went in Oct 2020 and can confirm that access is all flat with bright lighting and wooden floors. There’s a small lip at the bi-fold doors at the entrance. There are tables and a central bar that are all easily accessed by a wheelchair. The food was good modern british/european. Having said that I had a lovely vegetarian curry. The disabled toilet is in the main room but still quite discreet. Only downside is the step down to rear garden/patio area at the back. Despite that a lovely place for a relaxed drink or casual meal. They get an audited 2.5 BBS Ticks.

The old Chiswick Fire Station has been re-incarnated as an independent restaurant and bar specialising in the current trend of informal all day dining. . Serving, for example, burgers, chicken & ham hock pie and steamed mussels as well as a number of sharing plates. They confirm there is flat access and a disabled toilet with all the grab rails. It used to be All Bar One and if the facilities are the same then we can verify their accessibility but we’ve yet to visit this newly refurbished venue. There’s also a disabled parking bay outside.
