Update 2023: Fischer’s won the Conran Best Restaurant, Blue Badge Access Award 2022, for great style and accessibility.

Max 3 BBS Ticks

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Update Jan 2017: Recently audited Fischer’s and it is very accessible once you get through the entrance doors – don’t worry the staff open them for you! We also verified that the disabled toilet is all correct and very clean and follows the style of the restaurant. The pictures below say it all, the grab rails are correct, there’s room to move and the basin is at wheelchair height.

All The Correct Rails At Fischer’s Accessible Toilet. The Chair Can Be Removed !
Basin at Wheelchair Height. Stylish & Clean

The food was brasserie style and the cakes looked amazing. As it was first week of Jan we abstained and had fish and vegetables with no wine!! Fischer’s get an audited 3 BBS Ticks for style ambience and accessibility.

…………………………………………………………………………………………

The group that brought us Colbert, The Wolseley and Delaunay has now created a Viennese Cafe in Marylebone High Street to add to the other London locations. So far all their establishments have achieved 2.5 BBS Ticks and Fischer’s appears no different. Not audited as yet but based on the building that was previously Cotidie, Italian Restaurant, which we did audit, we can say with some assurance that it’s accessible and has a disabled toilet.

We did ask them just to be sure and they confirmed it is flat access with a fully equipped disabled toilet. Apart from that……………

‘Fischer’s is an informal neighbourhood cafe…………………Warmly evocative of Vienna in the early years of the twentieth century, …….open for breakfast until late into the evening.’

The Guardian says the ‘Cakes and puddings are corset-bursters’ and there are sausages, schnitzels, sauerkraut and strudels. So if you fancy a taste of Vienna this is for you and provisionally they get  2.5 BBS Ticks.
