The Wrap is short this week as I’m feeling a little poorly after a night out with the Blue Badge Style team. We started at Archer Street cocktail bar and then had dinner at Brasserie Zedel both as good as our previous reviews indicated. The American Lieutenant nearly got up and sang with the waiters at Archer Street, when they did an impromptu Elton John song. All very funny but a few too many cocktails were tried – the best was the “The Artist Formerly Known as Quince”,(Tanqueray Gin stirred down with homemade rosemary syrup, quince liqueur and fresh lemon juice) followed by “Santa Baby”, (a strawberry & vodka mix).
Archer Street is very entertaining as the staff really are exceptional singers and I can highly recommend it for drinks ( but don’t forget the toilets are over the road). Brasserie Zedel is also still good with reasonably priced French brasserie food and the Confit of Duck was enjoyed by all in the large & beautiful Art Deco dining hall.

Earlier in the week I went to see Spurs play ManchesterUnited at White Hart Lane. A great experience if you’re a disabled supporter as they really make sure you’re looked after. You enter the stand via the Players car park (great if you’re into fast & luxury cars), the seats are near the disabled toilets (yes, more than one) and the seating is right on the pitch so you see all the players close up. They also have stewards that are assigned just to the disabled supporters. A couple of Rooney corners made me realise just how skilful the players are and a clear penalty on Kagawa showed how strong they are. A 2-2 draw but a good day out!
Finally I met with some friends from Poland and I’m invited to see where they live in Krakow. I found this site on Disabled Advice in Krakow but if anyone out there knows about disabled hotels, restaurants transport in Krakow get in contact.….. Until next week…….
