There are three other Bumpkin restaurants in Westfield Stratford, Notting Hill and South Kensington all have been reviewed by us. This one is located in Chelsea and is “inside a Georgian townhouse over 3 floors.” They serve seasonal British food for lunch, dinner and afternoon tea – you can also buy their products in the restaurant. Sounds great and looks great but it isn’t great if you are in a wheelchair…
Unfortunately you can’t get into the restaurant itself, as there are small door frames and a large step at the front and no disabled toilet inside. However, if it is a nice day and you don’t mind sitting in the garden you can access the garden through the ‘Chelsea Gardener’ next door – that is if it’s open… Which it wasn’t when we tried to go here on out ‘Wheeled in Chelsea’ night out.
