I went to The Bulls Head with Lieutenant No.1 prior to our epic visit to Old Trafford. See review. It was a sunny day so we sat outside and didn’t audit the inside. We’re therefore very grateful to Paul who sent this review.
This is a lovely village pub with good English fare and real ales ( I loved the fish pie). There is a small section of cobble stones from the carpark to the front door ( about 6-8 feet wide ) then a small step down into the pub after that the floor is all on one level. There is a well equipped disabled toilet but when I inspected it the emergency pull cord was missing, also the mirror is too high for a wheelchair user. The disabled toilet is accessed through a narrow doorway into the toilet area but the disabled toilet has a wide door! I was told by the assistant manager that this was a design fault when the pub was refurbished a couple of years ago. He did say that some narrow wheelchairs will get through the doorway. Seems a shame to build a very well equipped disabled toilet that can only be accessed in a narrow wheelchair.
Hey, at least they tried and they get 2 BBS Ticks!!
