Blue Badge Style is competing for two awards. We have entered The Vodafone Foundation Smart Accessibility Awards, a contest to promote the development of applications designed to improve the lives of those with disabilities and older people, to help them get more actively involved in society. We have entered our app in the category of Mobility.
We think the Blue Badge Style smartphone app could have a great chance of winning the Vodafone prize – a share of a €200k prize fund. Deadline for entries is 15th October, and if we become a finalist we’ll present to a jury in December, in Spain. A popular contest, last year saw 60 apps enter and more than 100 participants competed.
We’ve also entered to win The Pitch, a small business competition that offers a £50,000 prize package. We’re in the last 80 and will travel to Liverpool this month to present in the final rounds of the competition, to hopefully become the 2012 Pitch Champion.
