Love this Italian restaurant, Villa di Geggiano serves Tuscan food with some ingredients coming direct from the original farm and villa in Chianti. The staff are very friendly and treat you as their most important customer. The house selection of crostini are our favourite ‘nibble’ with a glass of the house wine or a cocktail.

The wines are an unmissable feature as they have ‘a history of exporting mouth-watering wines to England – having been possibly the very first to bring Chianti here in 1725.’ It’s definitely worth asking the sommelier for his recommendation.

They also have a bar and outside courtyard where they serve snacks such as Lamb Croquette and Marinated Salmon with Black Crostini. It is accessible as it’s all on one level but you have to negotiate quite a steep ramp from the pavement and a small step into the restaurant. There’s plenty of room between tables & the low ceiling absorbs noise. Natural daylight fills the main restaurant making it easier to read menus and a pianist adds to the very ‘Italian’ ambience. They have an accessible toilet but when we went they had only one grab rail. We’ll report back if they’ve added more as we requested.
