They describe it as

“A single storey spacious building specially commissioned for disabled access, however a romantic retreat for any couple. Garden room with french doors to the terrace, beautiful open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room. Bedroom with twin 3′ zip and link beds making a 6′ double on request. Ensuite very large bathroom/WC with additional wet room section. A smooth ramped pathway links this accommodation with the main barn. Please note that there are low beams that may be restrictive for some hoists (please contact for more information if required)………………………….graded level M3I suitable for independent disabled visitors”.

If you feel like a change from self catering you can always visit the Michelin Star restaurant at Winteringham fields, (45min by car, accessible with a disabled toilet 2.5 BBS Ticks) or for something more casual and nearer there’s the New Inn at Great Limber. The Guardian said of The New Inn,

“The pub’s 10 bedrooms have more of a Kensington pied-à-terre vibe………………….Despite all this titivation, the New Inn is no stage set. Particularly in the public bar (dartboard, Magic FM, farm workers in muddy boots), this is a lively village boozer. Staff were unusually helpful and (shout out to Sharon, who jumped-in to ferry me to Barnetby station) seem like a team who take great pride in this pub. Next door, in the quieter snug, you can sit by the log-fire, nurse a pint and browse bookshelves with biographies of great lives – think Gladstone or Churchill”.

There’s flat access everywhere and they have a disabled toilet so The New Inn gets an unaudited 2.5 BBS Ticks. Even more casual is The Ship Inn at Barnoldby Le Beck but although it has great British food, seafood in particular, and access (we spoke to someone who has a wheelchair), it doesn’t have a disabled toilet so an unaudited 2 BBS ticks for them.
