In the 2019 Blue Badge Access Awards, The Arnold Fewell Award for Most Inclusive was won by The Deep one of the largest aquariums in the UK.

Nominated by Helen Dolphin, MBE, it won because…..

‘They have considered all areas of disability from ……..The Social Story tool for young guests to plan their day …to the Changing Places facility …. freely available mobility equipment, support for charities for hidden disabilities & the Safe Place Scheme. They also continue to strive to do more to make The Deep an enjoyable place for all’

The Two Rivers restaurant is one of The Best in Hull. Located in the Aquarium.

It’s ethos is to protect and educate about our Oceans and its profits go to conservation projects. An amazing and spectacular tourist attraction it also has a good restaurant, The Two Rivers. They have a thorough Access Statement catering for any disability and there’s level access plus a Changing Places Disabled toilet. For these reasons they get a well deserved 3 BBS Ticks.
