The nhow hotel is situated on the bank of the River Spree, in the music and clubbing centre of Berlin.

It presents itself as ‘Europe’s first music hotel’. This means that the hotel holds two recording studios and electric guitars and keyboards are available to all guests, in their rooms, upon request. On top of this the bar also hosts open-mic nights once a month to show off local talent.

The hotel’s design takes no prisoners – everything is very bold, bright and uncompromisingly modern. There are vast amounts of bright pinks and purples throughout the hotel. It seems like almost everything is pink. Whilst this might not be to everybody’s taste it is undeniably of a dynamic, youthful style and remains true to this throughout the hotel. Even the food in the restaurant keeps with the theme of the hotel – offering a ‘culinary interpretation’ of the hotel’s ‘pop art interior’. It is supposed to be ultra-modern and youthful in its decoration and has managed this perfectly.

The disabled access is good. There is a disabled room with a shower that is accessible in a wheelchair. The restaurant doesn’t have it’s own disabled toilet but there is one nearby; or at least on the same floor as it.

For it’s daring design and good access the nhow hotel gets a provisional 2.5 BBS Ticks.
