Listing Description

The Mitre used to be an unremarkable pub on Holland Park Avenue but it’s now been regenerated into a pub serving seasonal food and cask conditioned ales. They have an  ‘un-pretentious approach to service, where the main focus is making our customers feel welcome and comfortable’. I can concur to all of this as I’ve used the pub for a number of informal meetings.

The Ramp to The Mitre is Deceptively Steep…
But There is a Side Entrance
Avoid The Higher Dining Area if You Can’t do Stairs. All Flooring is Smooth & Flat
Can be Dark With All The Wood But Acoustics are Good

They are part of the group that owns The Havelock Tavern and The Duke of Sussex both of which I also use, primarily for the good food, wine and friendly service. the access at The Mitre is a little tricky as there is a ramp in but it’s a little steep and it’s covered in tiles that can be slippy when wet. However, there is a side entrance that can be opened and this is much easier to handle. The bar is dark with flat, wood flooring and there’s an adequate disabled toilet in the main room. Part of the dining area is up a few stairs (4, I think) so be sure to book in the lower area if you can’t manage stairs.

They get an audited 2 BBS Ticks
