Listing Description

Traveled by East Coast trains to Edinburgh. Very easy to get on and off, assistance provided and only £100 return first class.

The Fringe Festival is more like a ‘grunge’ festival. I have never been in so many back offices/ kitchens in my life!

Gigs at the festival have been mainly accessible but usually via a tradesman’s lift. The Gilded balloon had a disabled lift but it was broken so I had to be wheeled through their back entrance! But they were very helpful. But rubbish wine and very dark – maybe not so stylish but lots of  comedians there.

Vive Le Cabaret was the highlight for me even though being in a wheelchair meant I was almost on stage and a little too near the Striptease Hula Hoop Man!! It’s coming to London and it is highly recommended.

Stayed at the Hotel Missoni as it had one of the best Disabled rooms I have ever stayed in. The wardrobe was at wheelchair height!! The walk in shower had every grab rail you would ever need and 2 showers one ceiling fixed and one hand held. Even the plug sockets were accessible by wheelchair. All this and no compromise on style. The bar was great fun and a lot celebs were there. Expensive but worth it.
