Update 2025: Mabels is now closed Take a look at Cinnamon Bazaar in Maiden Lane

Mabel’s in Covent Garden, was visited on our pub crawl for Disabled Access Day in March. You can read the full story here but suffice to say not only were the staff welcoming but also their customers. Three of us in wheelchairs were given our own space at the front of the bar which had level access. We don’t think you can get to the restaurant as it’s accessed via approx. four stairs (they will carry you up if necessary) and there’s no disabled toilet. However, the music and vibe was brilliant and everyone was dancing throughout the building. Stays Open ’til 1am.

There is a disabled toilet in the pub across the road, The Porterhouse. Not good at night if you have hearing problems and quite dark but it’s a club-like atmosphere so to be expected. During the day it’s much quieter and brighter.

Level Access to Mabel’s in Maiden Lane, covent Garden – But Cobbles in the Street!
This is Where We Sat & Danced. Welcomed By Staff & Customers Alike.
Flat Floor But Built Over 3 Floors so Only Front Bar is Accessed Without Stairs
Stairs to Restaurant , Staff Offered to Carry Up.

Mabel’s gets a great 2 BBS Ticks, even without a disabled toilet!! Great time  guaranteed.
