Jan 2017: Here’s the latest on their less able facilities – “At present we have finished the works on our rooms and are looking into upgrades into one of our bathrooms in L’Enclume that will allow for a better experience for any disabled visitors. I will inform you when these changes take place so that you can update your records. ” and “As it stands we have made our toilets in L’Enclume Unisex which allows the larger, more accessible of our toilets to be accessed by both men and women.”

Dec 2016: They’ve had a refurbishment but they’re still not sure if they’ve got a fully equipped disabled loo…………..We’re still awaiting a response legs crossed!!

L’Enclume is the original Simon Rogan restaurant – see my review of the London ‘pop-up’ version, Roganic. The food must be excellent if the London Roganic is anything to go by – now unfortunately a defunct ‘pop-down’!

Accessible Dining But No Disabled Loo Just a Ladies With a Grab Rail

Simon Rogan and L’Enclume has 2 Michelin Stars, 5 AA Rosettes, a perfect 10 cooking score from the Good Food Guide and has topped the list of the UK’s and world’s best restaurants. He has since gone on to run Fera at Claridges serving his signature ‘clean’ and exquisitely flavoured food.

L’Enclume say there is a small step to the restaurant but there is no disabled toilet as such – there’s a Ladies with a grab rail?!! There are 2 ground floor rooms and one has a wet room. According to their site they are having some refurbishment this year and we can only hope there are plans for a disabled toilet??!! Another job for the DT Police.

They get a provisional 2.5 BBS Ticks, would be 3 but for the toilet!
