Listing Description

The now iconic live music venue, The Jazz Cafe is surprisingly accessible. Here’s what they say on the subject

‘We do indeed have wheelchair access in the venue and an accessible toilet on the ground floor. We don’t have the means to carry wheelchairs upstairs into the restaurant but we do have a space right by the stage area for your wheelchair and companion. Plus, your companion will also come in for free.’

Entrance to Jazz Cafe is Level
Intimate Music Venue But…….
Access to Resto is Upstairs

They also have club nights but as they say, the restaurant is out of bounds unless you’re ambulant disabled. Timeout notes that,

‘it’s reopened with a new look, a technical upgrade and a revamped food and drink menu, plus a ‘reinvigorated bookings approach’: more new and rising acts, but still with a focus on funk, soul, R&B and electronic music. With a capacity of 440 it’s an intimate gig space, and the two-level layout offers you a choice: get sweaty in the downstairs standing area, or book an upstairs table for a bit of luxury and a guaranteed good view.’

Looks like wheelchair users will be sweaty but ‘cool’. They get an unaudited 2.5 BBS Ticks.

What an excellent venue (& an excellent gig)
Half way through we managed to get a table upstairs which with my current mobility issues made things much easier
Staff were great – helpful and polite
Could not fault it as an intimate venue and for acoustics
    Bravo guys!!
