During a recent visit to Luxembourg we asked a colleague to find a trendy accessible bar/restaurant – a previous visit confined us to the hotel as we weren’t sure where to go. You can read our exploits here regarding hotels and accessibility. It was fun but we wanted somewhere different to go so Brasserie Schuman was recommended and what a great find. Not only was it accessible but the food and ambience were also very good. I had an excellent cod dish and the venison was beautifully done with a red wine jus (gravy in another guise). It was a busy lunchtime but it was still pleasantly calm and not noisy at all.

The Brasserie Has Plenty of Room & Tables Were At Wheelchair Height – Everyone Was at my Level For a Change

Brasserie Schuman resides in the equivalent of the National Theatre, Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg. There’s an outside seating area with fur (faux, I think) rugs to keep you warm.

As for the disabled loo it was fine, a bit of a storage room and accessed via the lift. It had enough room to manoeuvre and the sink was at wheelchair height with a tilted mirror. All in all a good find in Luxembourg.
