Bramble Bar is in Edinburgh and is located in a basement, there are about 12 steps down and no lift. So if you’re on sticks it’s accessible and if you’re in a wheelchair the bar staff will happily carry you down the stairs. Not ideal but as the World’s Best Bars say it’s

‘now firmly established itself as one of the best in Edinburgh. Its reputation has only grown over the years and the original cocktails are rightly regarded for their quality and creativity. The décor is understated, all white brick and low light, the subterranean space peppered with high-backed leather armchairs, the drinks menus bound inside the covers of old books.’

The cocktails look amazing and ingenious so I would make the effort but the stairs down do look treacherous………..

There are steps inside the bar but it’s mostly accessible for wheelchair users. They have an accessible toilet with a hand rail on the wall – getting in is the only issue! So not great for accessibility but it is worth a visit if you’re determined and don’t care about being carried downstairs!
