Menorca has plenty of seafood restaurants, the speciality of Menorca is caldereta de llagosta, a spiny-lobster stew and Punta Prima itself had a family seaside ambience of 30 years ago. There were even donkey rides on the beach – not something you’d find in the more sophisticated Mallorca or Ibiza. Menorca is the last of the Balearics to become fashionable but it’s well on it’s way with new restaurants for the affluent visitor. One such restaurant is Binifadet which is actually a winery with a restaurant, set amongst the vines. This was definitely a highlight of the trip. There was a disabled toilet and access is flat once you negotiate the gravel in the car park – not far but difficult in a wheelchair. Well worth it though as food and wine were excellent especially the seafood.
