Update Jan 2021: Beach Blanket Babylon has confirmed there is a step to get in (3 inches +) and there is no disabled toilet. Good to know if you’re thinking of drinking cocktails!!

It’s years since I’ve visited this well known haunt in Notting Hill. It’s on Ledbury Road and you can park in the streets nearby so I loved to pop in for a cocktail on my way home from work.

Beach Blanket Babylon bar and restaurant are often mentioned in Made in Chelsea (not sure if that’s good or bad??). Located in an old georgian building since 1990, I could easily enter when I was ambulant disabled and using a stick. We’re awaiting further details on the entrance and a possible disabled toilet. Undoubtedly this is an iconic venue in trendy Notting Hill and was an original of ‘shabby chic’ with its brick walls and chandeliers.

Bar at Beach Blanket Has Fixed Seats at Bar & Banquette seating. There is Space for Wheelchairs at Tables

Restaurant Has Smooth Flooring & Moveable Seating i.e. Chairs

Obviously not open as we’re in the 2021 lockdown from the Covid Pandemic but this is definitely at the top of my list to visit when we’re let out again!! They get a provisional 2 BBS Ticks for style and access.
