Update 2017: On our recent Bar Crawl for Disabled Access Day we tried to have a drink at Rules. We got in OK but weren’t allowed a drink downstairs as the bar license is only for upstairs. We would have understood but they kept quoting they were an old, Grade II Listed Building, at which…

Reader review from Manal of Starbuck’s in sheffield, not necessarily stylish but the information is useful nonetheless: ‘This coffee shop has a ramp leading to the entrance, it all also has a ramp leading to the disabled toilets. The only disadvantage is that there is only one toilet for everybody, both disabled and non-disabled. This…

Update March 2017: Went here on Disabled Access Day and they were really accommodating to our three wheelchair users. No fuss and very attentive. We’d give them the max. 3 BBS Ticks if the toilets weren’t so far away. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. The New Wing at Somerset House houses a cool bar Pennethorne’s which can get busy…

It is open from lunch through dinner serving ‘seasonal dishes from the classic to the modern, under the stewardship of head-chef Graham Blower (Mark Hix, Angela Hartnett)’. Most exciting is the ‘pop-up’ series of dinners produced by some renowned chefs. The latest is…
