2018 The Year of Brand ADDITI+ON & DRINK
‘Effortless Independence’, at a Discount!
Regular readers will know we won an Award from The Design Council to develop DRINK – The Inclusive Glass Holder. This will be going into production in Jan/Feb of 2018 and it will be on sale in late Feb. If you pre-order through our ADDITI+ON SHOP you’ll get an introductory discount of 20% off the RRP. Talking of SHOP we’re going to stock ‘products that make a difference’ which will include the ADDITI+ON Collection of accessories that attach to almost anything – wheelchairs, buggies and deckchairs – enabling ‘hands free’ living. There are a few products already in store, including eco/vegan toiletries, jewellery, bamboo socks and some unusual walking sticks made of Holly and Hazel. Equipment Reviews & Test of WHILL!?
Over 2017 we produced a number of reviews of ‘stylish’ and new disability equipment. We called these The ‘D’ List – new things in the world of disability. You can read the latest here where we looked at making a wheelchair go faster! This included a short look at WHILL the new Personal Electric Vehicle. There will be a longer trial of WHILL in February of 2018 so if anyone wants to take a closer look we will have one at BBS Towers to test – email info@bluebadgestyle if you’re interested.
Bespoke Access Awards/Competition for Architects & Designers
Bespoke Access have their annual call for all designers and architects to envisage new ways of creating a better hotel experience for people with disabilities – you can read more here but suffice to say there’s £30k available for the winners to develop their ideas. That’s all for now but look out for Blue Badge Style in 2018 as there will be some great things happening, we can’t mention them yet but it will be an exciting year for all our followers.
