Nominations for the Blue Badge Style Awards – The BLADES, are open……..We’re looking for venues that have ‘exceptional accessibility and style’ and tickets to the awards are now on sale. People with a disability go free but everyone else has to pay (not a lot!). The presentations will be made at Lutyen’s, Pepys Room, in Fleet Street, London on 4th October and please buy your tickets here.
Last year was a great party where everyone enjoyed the Blue Badge Style Cocktail a little too much!

So far nominations include the Central Library in Manchester, No.10 Downing St., The Ritz in Wolfsburg and the Design Museum.
The Awards for 2017 are :
Best Venue in a Listed Building – Winner 2016 The Beaumont Hotel
Most Accessible Bar (upmarket & budget) – Winners 2016 Bellanger & No.1 Duke St.
Most Accessible Restaurant (upmarket & budget) – Winners 2016 The German Gymnasium & Bryn Williams
Most Accessible Hotel (upmarket and boutique) – Winners 2016 South Place Hotel & Dakota Glasgow
Best Disabled Loo – Winner 2016 The German Gymnasium
Most Ludicrous Loo – Winner/Loser 2016 Tom’s Kitchen
Best European Venue – Winner 2016 Steirerecke, Vienna
Above & Beyond – for the venue or company who has made a special effort – Winner 2016 The Bank of England
