The Official Cocktail of Blue Badge Style Went down Too Well at the 2016 Awards!!
We created the Awards four years ago, because as founder Fiona Jarvis says
“We are passionate about helping people with disabilities to lead an exciting social life. As those of us with a disability know; style remains, despite disability. The awards are about promoting stylish venues which also have good access and facilities. Too often people with disabilities don’t go out because they don’t know what to expect when they get there. We want to change that with our Awardsand App”
The Blue Badge Style Award, Known as BASA to His Friends – Represents Style With Accessibility
Blue Badge Style Awards give venues a chance to shine, and promote that they are accessible and inclusive. People with disabilities represent a market with a potential spend of £250bn in the UK. As the population ages, demand for information about stylish venues with great accessibility is increasing. Our community has now reached 72,000 and growing.
If you’re a customer and would like to give your favourite place some recognition let us know. The venue has to be accessible and have ‘something about it’ that gives it a sense of style – no Global Burger Chains, please!?!
Last year the much coveted ‘Best Disabled Loo’ Award as well as the not so popular (with venues) ‘Ludicrous Loo’ Award, created intense competition and the audience went silent when they saw the nominations……
