If you’ve read this blog in the past you’ll know we were ‘guinea pigs’ for a new approach to accessible dancing i.e. wheelchair dancing with an able bodied partner – Inclusive Ballroom (see the previous article here). We were even featured on the BBC……
We loved it so much we hired the professional partners for the BBS Fred & Ginger Xmas Party……

Wheelchair dancing is in fact a sport and you can read about my experience on the English Federation of Disability Sport Blog. Getting involved meant I achieved something I thought I’d never do again, dance with a partner, so we’re thrilled to learn that Inclusive Ballroom classes have been set up in Central London by Step Change Studios. Starting on 10th june with a free 1 hour lesson see details are below. This is a great initiative and one I can’t recommend enough whatever your age or ability (our previous session included a 7 year old, a 63 year old and everything in between). Maybe see you there and learn a new skill, get some exercise, whilst having fun??
