Easter has crept up all too soon and here at BBS we haven’t bought our Easter chocolate so we thought we’d share a few places to buy, at the last minute, that’re outside the (chocolate) ‘Box’:

Harvey Nichols is good source of the stylish egg and are throughout the UK and online. The Chocolate Society ‘Artisan Blonde Chocolate Easter Egg’ is our favourite as it uses caramelised Valrhona with a pink and white lustre powder, complete with caramelised hazelnut truffle. Too late to buy online but try a store near you.

In London there’s an abundance of shops but a favourite has to be the Italian chocolate shop, SAID, (see our review). A very trendy place to choc shop in the heart of Soho.

There’s Choccywoccydoodah in Brighton & London….for those who want to go to the extreme!

There are also the Hotel Chocolat bars and cafes , across the country, that are open if you’ve run out and need a fix, see their list here. Not sure about accessibility but the staff are very helpful.

Red Magazine have a great list of chocolate shops and includes Chococo in Swanage, Coco Chocolate in Edinburgh, Montezuma’s in Winchester, Rococco in london……. see the full list here.

There’s plenty to choose from and if by Monday you’ve had a chocolate overdose, why not go for an accessible walk . We found a useful site Walks With Wheelchairs. It appears to use Ordnance Survey information so it should be accurate. If anyone has been on any of the suggested walks let us know if it’s accurate. There are also a number of tandem wheelchair bike rides you can go on. Here are some places you can hire them from:

The New Forest has inclusive bikes from Cyclexperience but it looks like you need some strength to use the Relaxino.

The Relaixno semi-recumbent tricycle and is designed to be stable and manoeuvred intuitively. It is steered by means of two handles or it can be adapted to allow steering via the upper body or thighs. The low centre of gravity safeguards against overturning and enhances handling.

The Wheel Travel Blog has a list of wheelchair bike hire companies throughout Europe with user reviews. You just need to know if you have a friend/relative who’s strong enough to pedal for two! Bikeability Wales also has wheelchair tandem bikes for hire.

Finally the Mountain Trike is available to buy or hire and covers all terrains, within reason. They have a list of where you can hire for the more adventurous amongst you and those who need an adrenalin rush on top of the sugar one!

We at BBS towers are less adventurous  and will be sitting in front of Netflix for the holiday. Whatever you’re doing have a lovely Easter xxx
