I and The American Lieutenant visited High Road Brasserie. The access is fine even though the ramp to the door is a little steep but I had a big strong Lieutenant. It was really busy for a wet Monday night but there was still a gangway for the wheelchair. It was quite dark but I think the decor is Art Deco. The service was excellent and friendly. The food is, as the name suggests, of a ‘brasserie’ style, we had fish and chips and a steak. The best part is the disabled toilet, one of the best with everything as it should be and it smelled lovely. Here’s a full access description or  PAD (Picture Access Description) for the brasserie.

It was a relaxed friendly ambiance and I’ll be back as it’s a good local venue.

P.S. Apparently there’s a private members club upstairs and an events space downstairs (no idea how you access them) – High Road House. It is also a hotel with 14 bedrooms.
