Would he have been considered cooler due to the fact that he was an amputee?
Aside from McQueen being considered ‘The King of Cool’ and his love for motorbikes, he was also a brilliant actor who was in many popular films and he received an Oscar nomination.
Would this have been the same if he was an amputee? Or would this have led to fewer starring roles? Would the car chase in the film Bullitt be less exciting in an ‘adapted’ ’68 Ford Mustang GT?? Would the Thomas Crown Affair have been less seductive?
