Blue Badge Style ‘Mix’ Concert is only almost a week away now so we thought we’d share some information with you about the musicians who will be playing at the concert. The BBS ‘Mix’ Concert is on the April 14 2015, 7.30pm at St George’s Bloomsbury, London. Broadcaster Howard Goodall is supporting concert;

Christian Prior:
Christian is a young pianist, vocalist, and composer. Having worked extensively in the jazz and classical world, Christian’s original music has a fresh, individual sound. He has previously written classical concert music, arranged for big band, and written original music for his trio. The performance tonight is of new material that he is currently developing with his trio and a string quartet. The music is an eclectic mix of Jazz, Blues, Funk, Folk, Rock, Pop, and Western Classical music, sometimes all in the same song.

Zosia Jagodzinska:
Award winning cellist and composer Zosia Jagodzinska performs intimate and powerfully emotive songs for cello, piano and voice. Her music brings to life original poetry-influenced by the likes of Dylan Thomas and Rainer Maria Rilke, boldly confronting themes of death, sex, love and uncertainty in a harmonic language which lies-unsettled-somewhere between folk, contemporary classical and jazz. Her debut EP, recently recorded with rising jazz star Simon Roth (percussion), will be released later this year.
