Thanks to Denise for sending in this review of the Miller & Carter steakhouse in Leeds.
Been here now on a few occasions – with ‘the girls’, work functions and with the hubby. I am a full-time wheelchair user and this is one of the best fully accessible restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. In fact it’s become an ‘old faithful’ when we can’t think of anywhere else to go. There is level entry access. The food is great, with a good, varied menu at a reasonable price.
The staff are so friendly, super polite and very helpful. The first time I ventured here was for a work function. They couldn’t do enough. They rearranged the tables so I could gain access in my chair and when it came time to use the facilities, I was more than pleasantly surprised. It was easily accessible, even to manoeuvre in my wheelchair, it was very nicely decorated and not your typical ‘hospital’ version of a bathroom but, of course, the best thing?, it was VERY VERY clean.
It is within easy range of the City Centre for shopping, but also The Leeds Arena is only a short walk/ride away too, as well as a multitude of trendy bars around Millennium Square and Electric Press. Although the ambience is very smart, relaxed but still cosy, I wouldn’t say it’s the place for a very special occasion, but definitely a place to go for a spot of lunch before a girly shopping trip or a quick bite to eat early evening/pre-gig/theatre.
Definitely one to try.
Sounds like a convenient spot with good food and great access too. Miller and Carter gets a provisional 2 BBS Ticks. Thanks to Denise, it’s always fantastic to receive reviews from readers/
