I went to Lounge Restaurant and Bar last Thursday on a whim as somebody had told me that apparently there was a good live band playing. They were right about that – the band were a lot of fun! They had that ability to get everyone up and dancing. It wasn’t massively busy but a good 20/30 people (except me) had a dance at some point in the night.
The bar does serve food but since I didn’t have any, or even see any, I can’t be the judge of that.
What I liked the most were the decorations. They had a Mongoose BMX hanging from the ceiling and the walls were covered from floor to ceiling with record sleeves, canvases of famous actresses and singers and even a few guitars were hung about the place.
They have live music every Thursday, whether it’s the same band each week I don’t know but if it is, you’re in for a treat!
Unfortunately there are no disabled toilets but there are a few pubs scattered close by and one of those must have a toilet you can use. There is a step into the bar and one at the back of the venue but the front has various seats and tables so shouldn’t pose too much of a problem.
