Lucy our student Lieutenant is now resident in Cambridge and has sent this report of one of her many nights out:

I went to Fez a few months ago to ‘Propaganda’ which is their Friday night, I’m relatively new to Cambridge and I was told its the place to go but I thought the venue was tiny compared to the amount of people they let in… Takes a good 20 minutes to get bar service!! Ridiculous, I spent more time at the bar than I did ‘dancing’, that’s not a complaint on my part though – I’m not a fan of dancing…

This isn’t a wheelchair friendly club… Very narrow staircase and I didn’t see a lift. As there isn’t really a way for you to get upstairs, I highly doubt they have a disabled toilet, especially since the other loos are up a second set of stairs… But in my opinion you aren’t missing anything special.

Opposite Fez is Baroosh, a stylish bar with very good disabled access, there is flat access at the front of the bar and two big doors to go through. There is seating outside which might be quite nice in the warmer months but its not got the most inspiring location, down a small side street in the middle of Cambridge. There are stairs inside to take you to another floor but the ground floor has everything you need and they do have a disabled toilet in there. They also have bars in Chelmsford, Bishops Stortford, St. Albans, Hertford, Staines. Marlow  & Uxbridge so please send us a review if you’ve been to any of those.

Baroosh gets 2 BBS Ticks, let’s hope the others are as good.
