We’re in the mood for some good old fashioned venting this month, so we’re looking for your Halloween Horror Stories about disabled access to put on our ‘BBS Bonfire’.
We’ve already started posting pictures of ridiculous ramps and ludicrous loos but we want to know what you would put on the BBS Bonfire. If you have any truly horrifying stories about your own experiences of disabled access, facilities or just how you’ve been treated – anything annoying, patronising or worse that people have said to you – please send them to us.
Then on the Fifth of November we’re going to have our very own BBS Bonfire where we’ll be ‘burning’ our least favourite things about less able life. We already have quite a few ideas of what we’d like to be rid of but we want to hear from everyone. We’re looking to ‘burn’ the little annoying things, so we’re after irritating aspects of less able life rather than anything too shocking! Whether it’s bad access or bad attitudes we’ll be lighting them up in smoke (in case you’re unsure – it’s a metaphor; nobody’s going to get hurt).
We want to find as many different opinions on this so we’d love it for you to have a think and send us something that you’d like to put on the BBS Bonfire. We think it should be therapeutic somehow to share our most frustrating stories.
