If you’re from London you may well have spotted this earlier but in case you aren’t or you didn’t we thought we should let you know that Blue Badge Style founder, Fiona, was in Time Out this morning.  This week’s special Time Out Takeover issue of London’s popular lifestyle magazine was all written by local readers and included a piece by Fiona on the perfect accessible weekend in London.

Fiona wrote a great short article on an ideal weekend for somebody who is less physically able titled ‘My Perfect Accessible Weekend.’ She chose a regular favourite of hers – the Boundary Rooftop for Friday, the King’s Sinfonietta Orchestra on Saturday and Kew Gardens on Sunday as three accessible places to go for a varied and exciting weekend.

We’re really happy to have been included as we thought Time Out was an ideal spot to feature Blue Badge Style – the only company that looks at disability from the point of view of style & design and provides information for less able people about stylish venues. “Style is the overriding premise of Blue Badge Style, along with a positive outlook” says Fiona Jarvis, “disability need not stop you from enjoying the good things in life!”

“We were so pleased to have contributed to the Time Out Takeover.” Fiona said. “Although we see Blue Badge Style as a more holistic idea, covering many issues affecting the less able bodied community, one of the main things we do is to act as a Time Out like guide with an eye on the disabled accessibility at venues as well as style. The magazine has always been a real inspiration for us and at times helps guide us towards what to include in our own website so it means a great deal to have been included.”
