Apparently a baby was born this week and even I had a smile on my face but we won’t dwell on it as the story has been done to death. Instead I want to talk about Quasi Khasis. In the past week I’ve been to two places where I’ve been told there’s a disabled toilet only to find that there’s either a room large enough for a wheelchair user and no grab rails or there’s a disabled toilet accessible via a step!!?? I may be labouring the point but where’s the common sense when it comes to building disabled toilets. It’s annoying. Does anyone else agree?? And don’t get me started on Listed Buildings.

We’ll be doing a blog on this later this week to coincide with Richard Rogers 80th.
Rant over, I also had a great lunch at Hix in Soho, (who managed to put in a very decent disabled toilet). It wasn’t so crowded at lunch time and you could see the Mobile Art more clearly. The Sole and the Gavi di Gavi were good as well. Great place and well deserving of the 3 BBS Ticks.

Finally just to prove we’re writing this in July 2013 here’s a pic of a baby and a lovely blue dress. It’s by Jenny Packham according to Vanity Fair. Empire line and silk crepe de chine make it ideal for people who have to sit all day.

See you next week, who knows what will have happened by then – hopefully I’ll have my new wheelchair back cover with BBS logo to show off!?
