The New Ellington is a hotel in Leeds but we are only reviewing the bar and restaurant.
A friend of Blue Badge Style, Danni, has been there but we called up to confirm and get more details about the disabled access and facilities. We managed to find out that the entrance of the hotel has 2 steps but they do have a ramp! The bar which is called The Gin Garden serves “100 varieties of gin… The Gin Garden also specialises in cocktails and carefully selected beers and wines.” so it’s suitable for most people! The Gin Garden is on the ground floor where there appears to be no problems with getting around. The bar is straight through with no steps and they have a disabled toilet there!!
The restaurant Digby’s Leeds also has good disabled access! It’s located in the basement and is accessible via the lift, no mentions of steps or other difficulties in here either, there’s another disabled toilet here too!! Which is wonderful!
