A 45-year old man has told reporters that he is “not that bothered” about winning the lottery for a second time and that he would rather go sky-diving instead.
The man, who was so uninterested that he didn’t even claim his winnings until two months after the draw, beat odds of one-in-438 million when he won £160,873 in the EuroMillions earlier this year. Irritatingly laid back about the whole thing, he always plays the luck dip and then doesn’t bother to check his tickets for some time after the draw. He even complained that he had been one number away from winning the “big jackpot”. In fairness, he won £1 million in 2011 so his second win may have felt a little underwhelming.
He told reporters after this second win that he really doesn’t care that much about his inordinate luck. As an ex-member of the Bulgarian sky-diving team he’d rather be doing that. “Nothing compares with skydiving.” he said. “The first win enabled me to make a few changes in my life, most importantly sending my daughter Elaine to private school and maintaining her skydiving training sessions.” Sky-diving is unusually high on his list of priorities.
He also has a few other tickets that he hasn’t got round to checking yet. So he may be about to register a hat trick of big money wins. Hopefully if he does he’ll be a little bit more bothered about it!
It’s April Fools’ Week at Blue Badge Style. If you think we’ve made this up then get in touch and you could win a meal for two. But if you’re wrong and this turns out to be genuine, you’re out of the competition for the rest of the week!
