I was invited to two shows for LFW Autumn/Winter 2013. Aminaka Wilmont and Krystof Strozyna  (see the show here). My detailed reviews will follow but suffice to say the highlight for me and the Musical Lieutenant was the appearance of Sienna Miller at the Aminaka Wilmont show wearing one of their SS13 outfits.

Love the dress very wearable as not too short and loose- hiding any lumps & bumps.

London Fashion Week is the showcase for British fashion talent and it’s significance has been growing over the last few years, with strong attendance by press and buyers from around the world. Tom Ford and L’Wren Scott , from the USA, showed collections for the first time plus Julien Macdonald returned to show.

My favourite is Tom Ford as I loved what he did for Gucci and I’m also forever grateful for what he does for men’s fashion, especially Justin Timberlake!! He made wearing a suit fashionable.

Back to LFW I also saw the Topshop Unique show and I think they have taken over from Whistles as the trend led, directional force on the High St. Their AW13 collection was full of soft fabrics, fur & silk, and flowing multi split skirts and loose, feminine trousers. All wearable in a wheelchair without alteration. In particular tops and coats were short and therefore not likely to cause too much folding and bulk in a chair. Very wearable and can’t wait for the Autumn?!

In general coats were oversized and  the sleeves were de-constructed (See the Aminaka Wilmont review) and the AW13 palette is black, white & grey with flashes of colour and patterns. In particular shades of olive green and darker reds.

Flaired, multi split skirt & short top. Easy in a wheelchair

For those that can’t be bothered with any of this you can always wear the latest shades as they’re on trend whatever the season and add glamour to any outfit. The latest are oversized, square or circular and of course the Ray  Ban Wayfarer look is never out of fashion.

Such lovely clothes! I was surprised how wearable Topshop was until I got the leggings from there as recommended in your other article. Brilliant!
