The Hilton Canary Wharf is a great accessible hotel in the heart of London’s business district. Thanks to Teresa for sending us this review of her stay there:
This hotel may lead a double life but it’s one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in!
During the week the hotel is full of business travellers, enjoying the fabulous breakfast buffet before closing that big deal in Canary Wharf, but at weekends the hotel plays host to visitors to the O2 and Docklands.
It’s close proximity to the South Quay DLR means you can use the DLR to get about. Parking is not in great supply, but the hotel can suggest alternatives. Taxis are also plentiful at certain times and nearby river buses can take you to Greenwich or Westminster.
The hotel’s Cinnamon restaurant had great food coupled with great service. The restaurant and the small hotel bar area were quiet during our stay. This may have been because many of the guests seemed to be taking advantage of the hotel’s close proximity to the Canary Wharf complex which is full of designer shops, restaurants and bars. This can either be accessed by the nearby bridge or by taking the DLR one stop!
The Hilton’s rooms are all accessible by lift and the restaurant and bar are on the ground floor. The bathrooms all have grab rails, the beds are low and there is room to move around the bed.
The Hilton Canary Wharf is a great hotel, with great food, great service and access to designer shops – what more could you want!
Sounds good. The Hilton Canary Wharf gets a provisional 2.5 BBS Ticks.
