Update on Roka, Feb 2013, went to Charlotte St Roka. Great food, buzzy atmosphere and all it’s chairs and tables are at wheelchair height! Fun night as is the whole of Charlotte St.

They now have a full 2.5 BBS Ticks.

Roka is a contemporary Japanese restaurant. There are two in London, one in Canary Wharf and the other on Charlotte Street! We haven’t audited either of the restaurants yet but we found out the following about their access and facilities:

Canary Wharf – The restaurant is on the 1st floor and there is a lift up there. Once in the restaurant there are no steps and another lift, up to the disabled toilet! The space is OK but some tables are more suitable for wheelchair users than others, so it’s better to give them some notice before you visit!

Roka

Charlotte Street  – Access into the restaurant is easy. There’s no steps into or inside the restaurant! There is a disabled toilet and if you book a table they will reserve one in the main section where there is more space!

The Roka restaurants get a provisonal 2.5 BBS Ticks each.
