Powder Keg Diplomacy is on St John’s Hill, Clapham Junction. Powder Keg Diplomacy aim “to serve approachable seasonal British fare that is set in an urban colonial environment, appealing to a new generation of diners looking for ingredients & dishes that are truly seasonal”.
The cocktails and punches are influenced by “Victorian imagination, ingenuity and innovation” – the food and decor appear to follow this theme. “Honouring tradition whilst subverting convention” was apparently what inspired Powder Keg Diplomacy.
We haven’t audited Powder Keg Diplomacy but might have to, this strange bar seems intriguing… We gave them a call to find out all about their access and facilities. I was disappointed to hear there is no disabled toilet but the toilets that are there are wide and apparently they can be used with a bit of help! As for the access, there is one step into the building and then it’s all on one level!
Powder Keg Diplomacy gets a provisional 1.5 BBS Ticks.
