North Bar is based in Leeds and the website tells you that “There is a ridiculously varied selection of top quality drinks coupled with a simple but effective food selection.” Sounds good! North Bar has sibling venues called The Crosskeys, Further North and Alfred.
The North Bar opened in 1997 and has stocked thousands of beers, which makes it one of the “leading beer bars in Britain” – they have around 150 beers stocked at any one time (according to the website)! Now that’s impressive!
The access and facilities unfortunately are less impressive. They have no disabled toilet and the nearest ones are about 5 minutes away, so don’t leave it to the last minute. We haven’t audited North Bar but apparently it’s a small space but is ‘do-able’ as they have had many less able customers in the past, I was told!
