The Lone Hotel is a five star hotel located ten minutes outside of the town of Rovinj, Croatia, on the Adriatic Coast.

In recent years this area has become a real hot spot for holiday makers and the Lone Hotel caters for those of them seeking a stylish, upmarket place to stay. It’s a member of Design Hotels which describes the hotels architecture as ‘Like a luxury cruise liner nestled on the hillside, the seductive minimalist curves of Hotel Lone’s design are influenced by the area’s unique natural landscape.’ It is an attractive modern building, built in an unusual Y shape (which probably isn’t seaworthy) to provide guests with spectacular views of the coast from all of it’s rooms.

The hotel has 3 bars (one for conferences, one health bar and one actual bar), 3 restaurants and a jazz club. There is also a vast spa covering 1,700 square metres, offering a variety of different treatments. It’s also a popular space for business conferences.

In terms of accessibility, the design of the building (apart from it’s size) makes everything very easy. Everything is very flat and there are lifts running through the storeys. There are five well equipped disabled rooms.

The Lone Hotel gets a provisional 2.5 BBS Ticks.
