The Grand Hotel Casselbergh is a four star hotel in Bruges.
The hotel is a luxury hotel with traditional furnishings and a great breakfast. In terms of style, the hotel is tasteful and traditional. It’s very nice but is unlikely to stand out as particularly stylish. It generally plays it safe with it’s design – more steadily reliable than excitingly daring in it’s decoration. But what it does do, it does very well. It’s a pleasant place to stay and a good spot from which to explore Bruges.
The hotel’s greatest feature is it’s location in the centre of Bruges – a UNESCO World Heritage City, with beautiful medieval buildings and idyllic canals. As they say in the film In Bruges it all looks just like in a fairy tale. However, all the cobbled streets may be inconvenient for wheelchair users.
The access is good – there are two disabled rooms which are fully equipped. They have wheel in showers and plenty of grab rails. There are lifts in the hotel to get about and there is a disabled toilet near the breakfast restaurant.
The Grand Hotel Casselbergh is a great place to stay in Bruges and gets a provisional 2.5 BBS Ticks.
