Cafedraal is a restaurant and bar tucked away in the centre of picturesque Bruges.
The restaurant specialises in traditional French-Belgian recipes with locally sourced ingredients. You can eat either in the 15th Century interior or outside in a popular terrace garden.
The Lonely Planet website describes the restaurant as having “hip yet homely multicoloured rooms buzz with diners who come here for its outstanding bouillabaisse”. It’s trendy but relatively low key at the same time making it great for all sorts of occasions.
It’s the restaurant that Colin Farrell goes on a date to in the movie In Bruges (but then everything in Bruges seems to have been in In Bruges ).
They say there is a disabled toilet in the ground floor area. But they were not entirely clear what this constitutes with regards to hand rails etc. ‘Disabled toilet’ can mean different things to different people. But they seemed honest enough that we’ll take their word for it that they have good facilities.
Therefore, Cafedraal gets a provisional 2.5 BBS Ticks.
