Apotheca is an award winning bar and restaurant located in the Northern Quarter of Manchester.
The design of the room centers around the antique apothecary drawers and pharmacy cabinets which surround the main bar. This creates the feeling of being in an old fashioned cocktail bar.
The bar won the best bar award at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival Awards in 2009. It has been noted for it’s scientific approach to cocktail making which provides consistently good drinks. It is also included on the World’s Best Bars website which admires the bar’s charm.
They have disabled access to toilets from the bar. They share a disabled toilet with their sister restaurant next door, Dough Pizza Kitchen, which means both Dough and Apotheca have disabled access and disabled toilets.
There is another bar in the basement that may not be accessible. The bar is in a listed building so it may not be possible to get downstairs.
Apotheca receives a provisional 2 BBS Ticks.
