The Pipe & Glass Inn, in East Yorkshire, is an award winning pub with particularly good food.

For a change a Michelin Award has gone to a place that not only is accessible, it’s also got a disabled toilet. I say this because there are a number of Michelin Starred restaurants that have scant regard for someone with a disability. See my Campaigns!

We haven’t audited The Pipe & Glass yet, but it did win ‘2012 Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide – Pub of the Year’. The food sounds great such as the “roast rump of lamb with spring vegetable and pearl barley ‘Hotchpotch’, crispy mutton Belly, crushed Jersey royals, nettle and mint gravy”; and it’s not too expensive. They also have a vegetarian menu – again unusual for a pub.

So can’t wait to try and they get a provisional 2.5. BBS Ticks.
