The Clarence is a simple but stylish boutique hotel overlooking the River Liffey in Dublin. It is well known for being owned by Bono and The Edge from U2 but is also a quality hotel in it’s own right.
It’s decoration is very traditional and quite basic, maybe even slightly dull, compared to some other hotels we’ve reviewed. But it is sleek, elegant and tasteful. It is a luxury hotel with great views of Dublin and a very pleasant tea room for afternoon tea.
The disabled access is great. There is a side entrance to the hotel to avoid the stairs. The hotel has fully equipped disabled rooms with wet room showers and plenty of grab rails. There is also a disabled toilet on the ground floor for the bar.
The Clarence is a traditionally stylish hotel with good disabled facilities and gets a provisional 2.5 BBS Ticks.
